Privacy policy
This notice explains how Groundwork Studio handles information when you visit this website, use the free designer or contact me about a property.
Who is responsible
Veera Adalmina Vuorio s.p., trading as Groundwork Studio
Hočko Pohorje 33, Hočko Pohorje, 2208 Pohorje, Slovenia
veera@vrio.fi
Contact me at veera@vrio.fi for privacy questions or requests.
Enquiries and project information
The enquiry form uses FormSubmit to process your submission and forward it to Groundwork by email. Your name, email address, property information and message are sent to FormSubmit when you submit the form. FormSubmit states that it retains submissions for 30 days. You can instead contact veera@vrio.fi directly. See FormSubmit’s privacy policy for its processing practices.
An enquiry can include your name, email address, property location or listing, approximate property size, timing and your plans. If you later send photographs, documents, drawings or other correspondence, I also receive that material. Send only information relevant to your request and material you are entitled to share.
I use this information to assess data availability, prepare the free initial review and quote, respond to you and deliver an agreed service. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract and performing that contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Required invoice and accounting records are processed to comply with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)). Handling complaints, protecting records and maintaining service security can rely on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)), subject to your rights.
You do not have to provide information, but without a contact address and identifiable property location I may be unable to prepare a review or quote. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.
The free designer
Images you select and design files you open are read in your browser. The designer code does not upload them to Groundwork or an image-processing service. Drawing and editing take place in browser memory. Saving downloads a file to your device, which can contain the background image and your layout. I receive it only if you separately send it to me.
The designer does not automatically save a plan to browser storage or a Groundwork account. Save your design before closing or reloading the page. Keep downloaded designs private if they contain property information you do not want to share.
Website delivery, cookies and logs
The website is delivered through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. These providers process technical request information needed to deliver and secure the site, which can include an IP address, requested URL, browser information, timestamps and error or security information.
Groundwork has not added analytics, advertising pixels, marketing cookies, embedded social widgets or third-party map-tile requests to this website. The site code does not set cookies or use localStorage or sessionStorage. Hosting providers may use technical security mechanisms governed by their own service policies. This statement does not claim that the hosting infrastructure collects no information.
For provider information, see OpenAI’s privacy policy and Cloudflare’s privacy policy. External links open other websites with their own privacy practices.
Who can receive information
Relevant information can be handled by the providers used for hosting, email, secure file storage, accounting and research or computing tools. Where a project includes commissioned photography or provider research, the people carrying out that work receive only the property and project details needed for their task. Any introduction that shares your contact details with an independent construction provider is made with your agreement.
Groundwork does not sell your personal information. Client names, photographs and identifiable project material are not used in public case studies without separate permission.
Some infrastructure and service providers operate outside the European Economic Area. Where personal information is transferred internationally, the applicable provider arrangements must supply an appropriate GDPR transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. Contact me for information about the providers and arrangements relevant to your project.
How long information is kept
Enquiry correspondence is retained while needed to respond, follow up on the requested work or resolve an open issue. Unneeded enquiry information is reviewed for deletion at least annually. For commissioned work, relevant correspondence and project records are retained for service delivery, support and the period needed to meet accounting obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Records needed for a specific legal requirement are kept for that requirement’s applicable period. These criteria apply rather than a promise that every category has the same retention period.
Images and designs used only in the free designer remain under your control on your device. Hosting and email providers can retain technical logs and backups under their own service arrangements.
Your rights
Depending on the processing and legal basis, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where consent is used, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Some legal recordkeeping obligations limit deletion.
Email veera@vrio.fi to exercise a right. I may need reasonable information to verify the request. I normally respond within one month; any permitted extension will be explained. I do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you solely through automated processing.
You can complain to the Slovenian Information Commissioner, Informacijski pooblaščenec, or the competent authority where you live or work.
Changes
This notice will be updated if the enquiry process, tracking, storage or service arrangements change. The update date appears at the top of this page.
